Restaurant Reviews
Fortunate I have been to have had the
opportunity to visit restaurants in several states. And it is
interesting to note that -- as I have pointed out in my annual review of the
top restaurants for the year -- whether there are regional or local
differences in menus, decor, venue type or location, there are always four
main attributes that will allow a particular restaurant to either stand out
or slump below the others: food quality, plating/plate presentation, service
and distractions (excessive noise level,
sloppily attired or non-attentive wait staff, etc). Unfortunately,
multiple visits are not usually possible before a review is written; it's
more often than not a one-time shot at an experience that can be really
awesome or simply awful... rp
